The beginning stages of the new headliner. Last time I didn't bother with the insulation and it didn't come out too good.

The headline process continues. Let's just say I'm not going to quite my job to follow a career in upholstery. ..... but it's coming out better than before. I got about half way done and ran out of binder clips and the lawn was calling.

Finally done painting! I redid the drivers side rear fender and painted the tail light housings and the licence plate light housing. Called West Coast Metric and a new mirror mount is on the way. I just have to add the piece of headliner that goes under the rear window and that's done.

More lights Smile after a little bit of a battle with ground issues thanks to new paint but the license plate light came on right away.

Just a little bit more left on the headliner and hopefully install The Windows over the weekend.

This is the trick the glass guy showed us. Use 1/4 inch rope. Never mind that weed whaker string it sucked. Sorry people who use it:). Once the rope is in it opened the seal up. you can almost press the window in.

Thanks for the compliments!

Some pictures from the first shake down run and gas up. I stopped at my first school in town. Turned out to be a nice location. It closed in 79 but was used for a couple other things over the years.

Would that be 67ctbug? If so, too bad I did not say anything to EA812 about meeting you during the meet. I wonder whatever other Samba regular was there and I simply passed by unknown. Also saw Stanagon, 67Vw2387, jmp.

To the CVA team who put on the event- thanks; I had a very enjoyable time even though I did not drive an ACVW.

EA812- Good going with your first full paint job on the '66!
