THE VENT!!
Today is a high stress day. As most know doing a restoration is fought with its mountains to climb. Today Everest was presented to me. My lovely body guy txt me this morning after me trying to get ahold of him for months and says he's giving me bak my bus as is. Currently the work he did need to be gone back over and thousands spent. Good times!! _________________ Special Thanks to:

Thanks guys!! Yep sucks.
I'm just trying to breathe....
Not gonna hold me back. It could be worse. It could be my only bus and being I have two other current buses I'm giving my time too this hit is only hurting my inner child and pocket book.
Not throwing the towel in yet. Probably gonna go to the master, themetalsurgerion down near Denver to ask for his expert artful craftsmanship. Have seen and heard very good feedback on his work.
fWIW.. My last guy came highly recommended and his work looked fantastic. Think the guy must have started smoking crack. I must be a sucker as I wasted 15 months on this and was patient all the way(mostly) and believed every lie. Burns my ass as I was paying top dollar and cash. Just want to trust people. I do most business deals with a hand shake with thousands on the line and never have had this level of disappointment with a vendor. Lesson learned cut loss and move on. No amount of money is worth dealing with people that have no respect for telling the truth. Should have been on the road this August and now it looks like next August is my reality.
I could vent for hours....but have to let the anger go and work out a proper solution. _________________ Special Thanks to:

By far, imagine how you'd feel if he fast tracked the job and halfassed it with a full on bash and glass just to get the F'n thing out of the shop, then you'd have a polished turd to deal with, at least now you only have a little 1/2 finished shit to deal with. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

So it has been close to a year and a half with no more posts. Whats up? Am I to believe you start projects and don't finish them? You have me hooked.
I feel your pain as my body guy had my '69 high top camper for close to a year and I did not get it finished. But it was a good day when I finally took it and have it back home. Hand in there. Finish the project. I guess I have to find your SC project post. |

Single cabs in ththe Splitty forum. The body should be done by end of February if the stars align. I've been busy rescuing buses and doing other restoration work on a couple other buses I have. Stay tuned!! Will get this shit show started again soon;) _________________ Special Thanks to:

Well it’s been an awful long journey filled with divorce and 3 body guys. 13 years after its purchase the van is finally going into paint. What a long strange trip it has been…
I’m in need of some expert advice. I have misplaced my information on the interior cargo color code. We n the panels it os a taupe beige or something. I have pictures on this thread of the color but am coming up shirt finding correct name or paint code. 71 panel. The cargo area was a matte finish maybe primer.
Thanks for stopping in to take a look.
