Well I got a little sidetracked this past week installing a lift in the garage.
41" with the garage door open
44" with it closed
I got to see the pan once again.
Had a friend stop by this past weekend. he just couldn't keep from doing something
He gave his thumbs up on the build.
Well my deadline is April 7th. Barring any major issues she should make it to the Texas Classic. _________________ Ethan Dunlap

Well my mission was accomplished this week. I got my tins prepped and Jeremy shot them for me today.
these next few pictures are about 45 minutes after the flat clear was sprayed. We used Hot Rods Flats by SEM. In the instructions it said wait for 45 minutes before you heat the booth. I am not sure why but I am guessing to give it some time to flow.
I also got all my plumbing in for the carbs as well as the oil lines.
Now all that is left is to get the blinker assembly installed, finish the wiring, install the motor and plumbing, and re-adjust the rear torsion. _________________ Ethan Dunlap

Thanks! I wasn't sure prior to painting the accent colors that I would like the matte finish, but now I am glad I stepped out of my comfort zone, because the pictures do not show really how awesome it is next to the shiny paint. _________________ Ethan Dunlap

I got a few more things done. All the wiring is pretty much sorted. Seats are installed and long block is in. getting closer to firing this baby up.

I am very happy with it. I plan on a few modifications by running the hoses up to the sealing and over to the wall and hard mounting the pump to the wall. pump seems to always be in the way right now. _________________ Ethan Dunlap

I'm not normally a fan of heavily customized and lowered Beetles but I definitely make an exception for yours. That's really very beautiful -- and tastefully done. Great work. _________________ Gone but not forgotten: 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1966) - another 1950 Hoffman split (restored in 1996) |

Yes its a Jaycee linkage. I had to modify it to work with the shorty manifolds. _________________ Ethan Dunlap

Thanks! I like them both ways. My next build for the wife will be a stock 64 Ghia convertible. _________________ Ethan Dunlap
