I'm going to have the window out, and already have the arms off the wipers. I'm going to be replacing the arms, and the seals on the outside just because the old ones look faded and dry.
Is there anything else I should be doing just as a general care while I'm in here on these things? Lurication, etc? _________________ Mike

Glad I found this thread again.. It was strangely cold and snowy here today, so at one point my wipers froze to my windshield while running, which pushed my poor plastic gear over the edge. The shaft has come out of the center - the classic issue.
Anyone ever try Bondic to repair the center of the gear? Neat product I've been wanting to try. It's basically a mini plastic welder.

I'll probably end up replacing it, or getting one of the brass centered ones from the classifieds. Just curious if this is an option. _________________ '78 Bus 2.0FI

Don't put the motor arm back on wrong like I did on mine, lol.
Nothing to it once you get it out. Don't forget the wiper arm shafts are clipped in to their L-arms with little C-clips from the front! _________________ Robert in Memphis
