Every year I think this looks like so much fun that i should just sneak in and hope that nobody would notice that I'm not a Vanagon... _________________ '03 Chevy Astro w/ NP233C 4x4 electronic shift transfer case, 4-5" Overlandvans lift kit, 4:10's w/ Detroit Locker, Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks w/ in-dash remote & onboard air compressor, 255 70R16 AT's, GTRV pop top w/ sleeper, Carefree Awning, Guacho couch, Coleman Fridge, and tons of Thule |

There are non-vanagon owners that show up.
Consider signing up next year and hanging out. |

That's an idea alright.
I just returned from a week in Moab, and am leaving tomorrow for two weeks in Sayulita, so I knew this year would be outta the question,...maybe next year I'll swing through SyncroFest on another Moab run...
Thanks for the offer, and have fun. I'll be checking out the videos. _________________ '03 Chevy Astro w/ NP233C 4x4 electronic shift transfer case, 4-5" Overlandvans lift kit, 4:10's w/ Detroit Locker, Rancho 9000 adjustable shocks w/ in-dash remote & onboard air compressor, 255 70R16 AT's, GTRV pop top w/ sleeper, Carefree Awning, Guacho couch, Coleman Fridge, and tons of Thule

Going to SyncroFest? If you plan to use Hwy 101 headed north from Southern California, instead of exiting 101 near San Juan Bautista try King City exit about an hour south. After your exit (good places for restroom stop and GAS) travel east on Bitterwater Road through mountains approximately 15 miles to Hwy 25. Turning north on Hwy 25, it is beautiful, quiet, excellent road surface and minus the headwind of 101. I feel this route is actually more direct, but it is winding and slow in spots, speeds around 30-55mph...but it is BEAUTIFUL, especially this time of year.
Oh, once you leave King City on this route, there are no services...get what you need in in K.C.
Check it out on map or GPS and perhaps give it a try? _________________ '65 T1 Sedan

That is a nice drive but definitely slow going. I would drive that route on the way home, nice mellow way to leave the event. |

This update just in thanks to Van-O-Rama...
Looks like I still cannot tell anything, but, perhaps I have upgrade envy just a little.

BenT's comments below:
Sorry, should have captioned for you. First three pics below are of the same van that Burley built. Fronts have his latest UCA & LCA w/ Fox reservoir shocks. Stopping by Audi G60 calipers and Audi discs. Rears have 16" replica arms with smooth seams and pimped reinforcements. Audi rear discs and Fox reservoir shocks again.
The rest of the pics were taken from the center of the campground. Just stood there for a minute and took a shot N/E/S/W. We were only there for as few hours trying to find SyncroDoka. After meeting and greeting at least 50% of the attendees, we decided SyncroDoka was not in the vicinity and likely still at home picking his nose.

Benni, always trying to stir the pot. I am not selling any rims so why look for me?
I knew that you would only stay for a short while and leave before dark for fear of turning into a BenT pumpkin. |

Hey, not pickin' on you, Mary-O. I just missed you, baby. Now are you sure there's not another R9 lurking behind your shoe closet. Someone's NOT going to be happy, if you're holding out, nose pickererer. _________________ BenT |

You mean "from", SyncroDeDocca? This is what happens when your flip flopping arse holds out on wheels which you know you have.
Thanks, zesty. You da man! _________________ BenT |

We took this route Wednesday evening on our way up. Good road. It was a nice alternate. Too bad it was dark out when we came through. _________________ Tim Potts
