Yeah, you read it right...

I wanna know if anyone has ever had a Herrod Helper cause higher oil temps or higher engine temps in general.

I think it would create a line of low pressure just under it. Since that is where the primary engine cooling air is supposed to come in, you would want high pressure on those vents, not low pressure.

I think the cooling system would have to work harder to pull air in through the its main vent, sucking against the suck created under the spoiler.

I think higher engine temps would be guaranteed.

the claim is :
"The installation of this rear wing will help your car's stability over 60mph,"

Very doubtful - I would like to see them prove it !
Looks like a piece of junk to me !

I can confirm your doubts, personally. I've run both versions. Regardless of aesthetic tastes, the only noticeable difference achieved from either one has been an overall reduction of road noise.
