This is an area in Croatia, called Lika, known for the birthplace of Nikola Tesla. Croatian Adriatic Sea is one of the purest seas, Krk is the largest and northernmost island in the Adriatic Sea, the closest to tourists from Europe. I personally prefer Dalmatia, from Zadar to Dubrovnik.

Wow. Except for the Adriatic Sea, that looks very much like the American mountain west. I know I could lie to one of my friends and tell him it was the Big Horn Mountains and he would not be able to tell the difference.
