I too am sorry for your loss. My father, 90 years old, is in his last days. He built a car from scratch, and taught me most of what I know about mechanical devices. His abilities motivated me to take on a project. This is a pic of my Sandwinder. I found the body on eBay, and always wondered if it were a Sandwinder or a Bush Buggy. It seems now they are the same. Mine had had a rough life, glassed many holes, readied the body and sprayed it Cobalt Blue flake from House of Color. I get to drive it when I can pry my wife's fingers from around the steering wheel. : ) Thanks for the thread and may you remember your father with love. |

It sounds like you had a great relationship. That's not always the case, so he died a very rich man. _________________ (o\_i_/o) what you've just said ... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul - Mr. Oblaski, Principal |

My condolences on the passing of your dad and youre family is in our prayers.
Thank you for the story of your great relationship and treasure the memories! We all like these little buggies, but they are just a means to create the moments and relationships that are the most important in life! _________________ Or you can call me………Tim

Just purchased my dad's show car from the 1960's. It might be a while before I get to work on it. Will post pics as I do work on it.

That is awesome find.
First picture I ever saw of your Dad's buggy was in Petersen's "Off Road Fun Cars" in 1970, the year the book came out.
The pictures are in black & white but you can tell it a beautiful buggy.
I seen color pictures since then of the buggy and it really is one great looking street buggy. _________________ Joseph

Can't wait to see the progress on your dad's buugy. Yours looks great, and inspired many decisions on my build. Sent you a PM with a question about your wheels. Thanks! |
