This thread was getting further away so I thought I'd bring it back up with some fresh vintage pics. Starting with Jimi Hendrix and the last one which is probably my favorite. Feast yer eyes! [/img] |

That is a nice looking Imp. Not sure how vintage-look the aluminum bomber seats are though. _________________

those are actually period correct. Empi made fiberglass buckets for Imps and other buggies and beetles. Here's a shot of the same Empi seats in a '70 Imp in the Wolfsburg museum.

OK, this is not great quality, but vintage dune buggy, 1973, grainy black and white photo. I drove this daily, took every side road, paved or not and actually induced quite a bit of damage to this buggy, but I absolutely loved it.

Here are a few I have been collecting off the net. I must have hundreds and hundreds of pictures of other peoples buggies. Hopefully soon I will start a gallery site to post them all uo.
My all time favorite pic of a manx!

Manx102---Why did you remove your picture? That picture was the balls! Was that your father in the passenger seat or grandfather? Either way real fossil picture. Toss it back up, and have you got others..? |

Randy has the best personal collection of family dune buggy pictures taken in Baja and Pismo from the 60s and 70s that I know of. They're in his gallery, http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/album_search.php?search_author=Manx102
His Manx has also been in his family longer than any glass buggy I know of, except one. |

Kreelak--- cool pics! 1967...The one with the steel drum is funny, looks like you had just walked out of it, with a loaded diaper! Do you still have the EMPI? |
