Nice picture, Baron. You have them all. I think it would be fun to see a photo of your photo collection.

What the story behind the dual hand brakes in this? Does one lever do something different? Smile

To me they look like they're used for manual cutting brakes. In a setup like that pulling one of the left or right side levers pulls the E-brake cable on that side. There should be a cross bar on the center handle (hard to see in that pic) that lifts both of the side handles up at the same time when you pull up the center E-brake handle.

It's called a steering brake. It can be used for maneuvering in tight spots by locking one wheel and doing a donut, or to get yourself unstuck by stopping the stuck tire from spinning and putting power to the other side.

There are actually three levers there, the parking lever and two steering. Those are Select-a-traction levers which were made by Crown. You pulled up the center as usual to park and pushed down on the side you wanted to brake.

Its better to start a new thread for a different subject

Thank's for correcting me on those levers. I got the direction they operate at and the method of attaching them to the E-brake figured wrong. At least I was on the right track as far as the actual purpose of the levers.

I've never heard of a push type setup like that before today. I guess I just learned something new. Wink

Apparently the factory wanted to find out what those crazy Americans were doing to their car.
