We get that in Erie all the time you guys will be fine! But my days from living in South Carolina has taught me that you should go buy all the bread and milk you can fit in your car.
Seriously though I just saw a caravan of power line trucks headed your way on I-90, all from Detroit so Godspeed to all of you on the Northeast coast!

EEEEZZZZ, big fella. Rednecks in SC don't take criticism well. Wink I grew up there, and still chuckle at the widespread panic preceeding even a forecast for flurries.

I always shake my head when native New Englanders freakout when it snows in the winter. It's WINTER in NEW ENGLAND. It's going to happen Rolling Eyes

It crossed my mind today that people on the West Coast must think we're crazy for dealing with this year after year. But then I thought, I don't know how they deal with Earthquakes year after year. We had that little 4.0ish earthquake a few months ago and that scared the shit out of me.

It's going to be in the 40's next week and in 3 weeks be March so it won't stick around long. Buy beer and batten down the hatches!!!!!!

Most big winters storms out here dump that much snow in 24-48 hours.

We can deal with earthquakes every year because we don't get them every year. Last big shaker in the LA basin was 1994. And I was in Vegas at the time. I can live with that. [/quote]

Ah... the dichotomy of the winter snow storm. It's always an even split between the "Oh my GOD, we're gonna be snowed in for a month!" crowd and the " Oh MAN UP, it's winter, 30 inches of snow is NOTHING!" crowd.

Well hell, when I was a kid, we used to walk to and from school in the blizzards, 4 feet of snow, up hill, both ways... in shorts & tee-shirts! Of course, we couldn't afford shoes, so we wrapped rags around our feet. We thought we had it tough until we found that our neighbors couldn't even afford rags!

The one thing that's always deeper than the snow is the BS that it generates.
