Bug-a-Palüza 15 - April 20-21, 2013
Held at Camp Jordan in East Ridge, TN
Brought to you by the Scenic City Volks Folks, Village VW of Chattanooga, The City of East Ridge, Hippie Radio 106.9, and Volkswagen Chattanooga.
* 50 Show Car classes (air-cooled and water-cooled)
* Custom Hand-crafted Trophies
* Camping
* Swap Meet
* Dash plaques and goody bags for show car registrants (while supplies last)
* Tech Sessions
* Games, Prizes, Kids Activites, Giveaways
* Master Pin Striper Von Hot Rod
And much more that has yet to be announced!
Online registration is available at http://www.bugapaluza.com/
* * * Changes to vendor layout this year * * *
In order to accomodate more vendors, we've made some changes to our show layout. Vendor spaces are now 10'x20' for $11 each. This means if you're a small vendor who only needs room for a few parts or a small easy-up, you don't need to get a larger 20'x25' space for $16. If you're a larger vendor who needs more space, you can still get multiple consecutive spaces for $11 each. We hope this will help fit in more vendors as we typically sell out of spots early each year!
* Due to the possibility of camping field being closed due to rain, we will have no pre-registration for camping this time. If available, camping in the field will be on a first come, first serve basis.
* Camping in the field is limited to tent and VW campers only. Depending on the condition of the field and the weather forecast for the weekend, small, light weight vintage and pop-up campers may also be allowed in the field (This is at Volks Folks and Camp Jordan officials’ discretion).
* The camping field will open at Noon on Friday. The gate will be closed from 11 PM Friday until 6 AM Saturday and 11 PM Saturday until 6 AM Sunday. Vehicles will only be allowed in and out of the field in emergencies during these times. Vehicle trailers must be stored in the lot next to the camping field. Local noise ordinance must be observed (keep the noise down after 11 PM)
As in the past:
* There is limited power and water available in the field, first come, first serve. Bring your own drop cords and splitters!
* All camp and cooking fires must be off the ground!
* No generators after 11 PM.
* All dogs must be on a leash and owners MUST clean up after them.
* Camping fee for the field is $5 per person for the weekend (plus spectator fees if applicable).
Camping in the RV Area:
* RV sites are on a gravel lot and have water and power hook ups and are within walking distance of the show.
* You may set up camp in the RV area beginning on Thursday.
* Camping fee for the RV area is $10 per site, per night (regardless of the type or size of the RV or the number of people camping). Tent camping is allowed in this area, but the same $10 per site, per night fee applies. Spectator fees are separate.
Also on Facebook.

Von Hot Rod will be returning this year. He has proven to be a popular addition to our show, pin striping everything from your VW to guitars, shoes, and anything else. |

If you need a hotel room, our group rates are even better this year than they were last year.
Our host hotel is the Best Western Plus Arbour Inn and Suites, located across the street from Camp Jordan. If you've got a trailer or car hauler, they have a large parking lot to accomodate you.
Rates at the Best Western Plus are $69.99 for a standard king room, $79.99 for a standard double room, or $89.99 for a king or double standard suite. Call (423) 893-7979 and mention Bug-a-Paluza to get these rates.
At the entrance of Camp Jordan is the Motel 6, also with great rates. $32.99 for a single (one person) room or $41.99 for a double (2 person or king) room. Call (423) 894-1417 and mention Bug-a-Paluza to get these rates. |

In case you missed the news, earlier this month we appeared on the Ronald McDonald House telethon in Chattanooga. We presented them with over $20,000 thanks to the proceeds from last year's show. We couldn't do this without the support of all our sponsors, vendors, and participants. Thank you and we hope to do over $20,000 this year too!

We've got TONS of great door prizes this year. First up, you could win a transmission from Rusty Bottom Garage! We are excited to have RBG as a sponsor so check out their booth at the show and look for a chance to win.
There will be more to announce as we get closer to the show, so stay tuned! |

I'm looking for a metal sunroof panel (not the whole clip, just the sliding panel) for a 64 bug. If anyone has one and is contemplating what to pack for the swap, THROW ONE IN!!! _________________ '69 bug (Bonnie)

There's still time left to pre-register! It's looking like vendor spots are going to be FULL very soon. |

Don't forget to bring you keys to be copied on VW cutout blanks! Bring locks that don't have keys or that need to be rekeyed to match. We will have a full service "shop" set up at the show. And, as always, I have YOM tags (mostly GA), unique keychains (just got in some REALLY COOL stuff from England!), also have a great selection of "rack candy". Including, 3 surfboards, multiple coleman metal coolers, water skis, vintage lawn chairs, folding picnic tables, etc.
If you are looking for sonething specific, call us now so we can be sure to toss it in the van. Look for our "new" service vehicle: The Mystery Machine!

As a heads up, our ATM vendor's machine sustained damage in a recent storm and will not be able to attend. It is in your best interest to make plans to have cash available BEFORE the show. We have tried to find a backup ATM, but it looks like we will not be able to find one in such short notice. Thank you for understanding. _________________ '69 bug (Bonnie)

Due to heavy rain this year, no vehicles will be allowed in the camping area. Tents and foot traffic only. We apologize for the inconvenience, but this comes from The City of East Ridge. Vehicles will have to park outside the field or set up at the RV lot. |

Looks like the weather will be good (except for Friday) - the weekend forecast shows %0 chance of rain on Sat. and Sun. with decent high temps, although it might be a tad bit chilly at night. Looking forward to a great show!
