I removed the instrument cluster to replace the brake switches in my 1991 Westy. When I put everything back, the headlights would work, but the lights lighting up the instrument cluster and the RND21 on the automatic shift console won't light up.

Is the headlight switch to blame, or is there a fuse out?

Do check your fuses first..I think the instrument lighting fuse is #10..on a separate holder above the fuse box..not the row at the bottom.

If memory serves.......

Isn't there a single tiny terminal that has a wire plugged onto it separately?

Dave, do you mean separate from the plug that goes into the switch itself?

Had my cluster lights and aftermarket gauge lights go out after hitting a road bump. Headlights still worked. Fuses were OK. Headlight switch looked OK, Wiggled the wires at the back of the connector and also wiggled the 14 pin connector as someone suggested and the lights worked again.

Problem solved. 10 amp fuse at the #20 spot was blown.

This just fixed my cluster lights that were out. I have another 1991 switch coming as they are suspect at this point.
