|
|
Hello everyone,
I just replaced my stock speedo with an electronic aftermarket one. I got the wiring connected properly on the aftermarket one, but I have 2 loose wires that I believe are apart of the charging system. Anyone know about how to go about with connecting them to something?
-Thanks!

The top connection is for the blinkers.
I believe the blinkers still work without that connected, you just won't have a warning light in the dash that blinks.
The bottom connection is the power for the oil and generator warning lights (left and right side as seen above).
Tape it off if not in use so it doesn't ground out on anything.
The oil and generator warning lights function by grounding out the bulb and turning the light on so you need to hook those other wires to your new speedo - maybe you did that already.
I believe the car may not charge without the generator light hooked up so you will need to make arrangements for that. _________________ How to Post Photos

I think you nailed it, Everett. I have this empi dash light I was going to use for the turn signal. I'll use it for the alternator light.
Thanks a bunch!
