A 56 westy, or any pressed bumper westy, is an uncommon and desirable beast.
Of course, it is nicer when it has a complete, original, good condition camping kit.
What is the VIN on that bus?
Can you get some interior pics that actually show the interior / camping kit? |

Congratulations! My first VW experience was in my Dad's Subhatch, which I thought would be mine at 16. Nope.
I would be excited as all get out to have found that and purchased. Good job! _________________ "Two things are infinite: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe." Albert Einstein

My 57 westfalia camping trailer has the same "happy wanderer" badge.
The stove looks just like the one in the 57 westfalia brocher yours is the first pic of one I have seen. Your rear cabinet looks like the early 57 one also. Maybe they started making the full camper kits in 56.
Very cool bus can't wait for more pics. btw is it blue/ white under the repaint maybe it is the one from the catlog. But I don't see sign of semiphores. i

Cool find Nathan! I remember you telling me about it several years ago. I would offer to help load but I am picking one up this weekend myself.

Does that brochure pic have a whore house / whore bus feel to it? Jump in, take care of bitness, have a cold beverage and be on your way?
Or am I just bored...
Oh, and sweet bus... |

If it has an m-code plate than it is not a 56. That didn't start until late 1958...congrats on the deal. |
