74 stool is the same height as the rear bench and the 69-71 drivers side jumpseat.

74 also had the wall mount extend-o-table. Mine had the a/c sink cabinet but no rear headbanger. The dometic fridge workd very well considering the age and that I've fine nothing to it. The headbanger must've been optional, mine had no signs of ever having one.

From what i've noticed, only the weekender version of the 74-75 westfalia had the headbanger. My 74 westy with pop top doesn't have one either.

heres a few photos of my interior for any references

Yes. In the "Gearbox" brochure for the 1974 westy, there are pics of a bus identical to mine with both the stool and box.

Rarely do I post a question about campers, but I have one now!

On the model with the seat against the driver's wall...what happens to its cushion when you pull the bed out?

I like that setup....looks cramped as hell though Laughing

yes my 75 had both. Apparently the buddy box came in 3 different heights as well.

Notice on the first few pics on the rear cabinet the control panel. Its not on some of the other pics, is that down to no electrics or did VW site this panel somewhere else.

Its a shame I sold mine, I didn't fully realise what it was at the time or its point/use. It is not hard to make up another but I wish I'd have kept hold of it.

74-75 came with lots of good stuff. The deluxe had the double seat - stool-buddy box option.

Where is the guy with the light brown P27 thats loaded? Anyone remember the link?

Anyways here is the early table.

Adventurebus,

My '75 interior looked just like yours before I removed some of the cabinets to increase interior room. I have the cabinets in safe storage, and it can be set back to stock whenever I want Smile

Is the white color on the roof inner panels specific to these years as well? Others I see are not white like this.

The wood ceiling on 74-75 was a white wash flat paint. Over time it becomes chalky to where the paint may come off by hand just by touching it. So allot of people just refinish it in stain like an early bus. I did this but will be going back to white to be more accurate.

Yes, a majority of the white paint is chalky and comes off with a touch. But, not all of it is. The further you go back toward the rear of my bus, the more its still nice and nothing comes off when you touch it. As for the front headliner, it was very chalky and I just wiped it all off with a wet rag.

Hey take a pic of the good stuff so I can match it better. I was thinking it was an off white flat color.

Please

I'll get a few pictures a bit later, but as for the curtains, mine came with an olive colored curtain. I've seen that some came with dark green like in the later westies right? I think even some had blue curtains too.

Here are the curtains that were in my bus when I bought it in 1997. I also tried to include a picture of the overhead panel, found in the cab. I think someone was asking for a color comparsion.
