I have been "using the search" but I’m not seeing what disk brakes systems can be modified for a set up in the rear of a vanagon.
For the front, Audi 5000,200,or 100 is best with some modification, but can you also take out the rear brake set up in these cars for the rear of a vanagon conversion?

Can’t afford the cost of the aftermarket kits that are bolt on... I will do some labor for the savings.

Personally, I wouldn't waste my time. I've not seen any tangible advantage by installing any aftermarket or custom rear disk brake system. Spend your money somewhere else where you will be happier when you put your drums back on. Or when your vans rolls away because the park brake doesn't hold.
How do you like me now?
Jeff

I think I would still like to do it. Not a drum brake fan personally. I still like you, but the info would make me like you more... LOL Laughing
