I acquired this bus about a year ago from a friend in South Carolina.
So far I've done a ton of metal work to it as this one wouldn't have lasted much longer outside.
Thanks to Gerson, parts busses & friends I'm trying to get this on the road soon.
I will need to have alot of help when it comes to the sunroof & maybe some other deluxe parts as I've never had my hands on a deluxe before this one.
Almost everything I've done to it up until this point is in my gallery.
Thanks for watching & any suggestions would be appreciated.

Today I finally have the roof in 2k primer

Fantastic job there Jerry. Roof looks really good and that thing has come a long ways since the first time I saw it last year!

Thanks guys, it looks like the bodywork on top will work out just fine.
Blocking high-build will tell on you in a hurry!
I went to the paint shop at lunch today to pick up the light purple paint for the above the beltline.
At this stage in the game, I'm doing everything I can to get it back on 4 wheels as I can block the sides & nose.

After the belly pans are on, the bottom & top painted. I'll be calling a few friends that know much more than me about lowering a bus. Smile

I have some period correct candy bronze parts that will match up good with that. The Bottom 8 inches are gone but you can roll with it. Glad to see the bus moving right along!

Thanks for the kind words guys.
I now have the top blocked down & will shoot it tomorrow.
As soon as Gerson sends the bellypans, the botttom will be ready to paint in a couple days.
Hey Phil, could you shoot me over a pic of that bronze stuff you're talking about?
I cannot wait to get this thing off the rotisserie to get the doors just right. Cool

The light purple turned out a little lighter than I would have imagined... Laughing
The paint laid down really good considering the weather!

I'm so happy that I can look at at least one part of this bus that isn't rotton! Cool
