I would like to add a DVR camera system to keep an eye on my property while we are away during the day.... Been looking at systems, but there are so many. Would like a 4 channel wireless, but don't mind running wires if I have to. Do any of you guys have any expierence with these systems and could offer advice as to which systems to avoid.... There's tons for sale and some are low cost, but I have no clue.

I have a Q see at Home . I am running a 16 channel set up. It works very good. Now on the other hand, I have installed a GeoVision HD setup in one of my businesses, and it is phenomenal. It can run both wireless and hard wired. It has 1080 resolution in both video and playback, zoom and I can easily view it on my Iphone.

A friend at work monitors her dogs with a $200 2-camera system from Costco. Added a speaker, so she can hear and see on her iPhone, and also speak and have it broadcast into the home ("Bad Dog!").

I think it has an IR LED and sensor, too, for night vision. Not sure of the resolution, though.
