So I'm tossing the idea around to build a buck to move bodies around to work on them, thus the post. Any of you guys build something for this purpose and wish to share pics?

I did that when I pulled the body off my Sterling years ago. Pretty simple, really - I just used a pair of 10' 4x4's, put a couple casters on either end, then tied them together with a couple 2x4's on the ends. Measured how much depth I had from the fender well at the highest level to ground, added a couple inches, and simply did a "hoop" of 2x4's for both sets of wheel wells. Braced with more 2x4's to the 4x's so the hoop wouldn't move, and set the body on that. I don't think I have photos of it, though... the garage was pretty tight Very Happy

I just used a 2x4 frame and some cheap HF casters..... Nothing exotic or expensive.... Just sturdy (lots of screws)..... Used additional 2x4 crossmembers (adjustable) to actually support body and used "C" clamps to secure body to crossmembers....

Decided body was to low for sanding and repairs.....

Lot more pics here but they all look mostly the same....

And the obligatory "back from paint shop picture"....

Buy them for the wheels & toss the wood bits in the trash. Then make a 2x4 frame...

Used it for full sized kits to buggies. Likely overkill but does it ever make wiring a snap! I just sit on my stool and wire away.

I have one I built years ago and I could not live without it. I made it out of angle stock with a few gussets. It contours the mounting base of the buggy. I could bolt the body to it or put a chassis on and the body on top. I welded 6” wheels to it. The rear wheels have brakes that I have not hooked up yet. It is working at the moment so no new photos. I will look for some and post when I find them.

Edited to add this.
