Anyone making new replacement panels for sliding door and back deck lid in original cream colored material? I tried a search and found nothing.
Thanks folks. |

There's this guy:

Not my ad. As he states you can paint with Krylon to match. I'm contemplating it, though I might cut them myself as I have a cheap abs source locally and shipping to Canada would be pretty steep.
*edit: wow, two posts for the same thing snuck in while I was typing!* _________________ ---------------------------------------------------

Not exactly sure what you're looking for, but Sewfine makes replacement door panels that you can choose your color vinyl or other material for... _________________ 1990 Syncro 16" DoppleKabine 2.1 DJ 112i

I got some bare wood (masonite) one from BD and covered them with the vinyl 'wallpaper' that GoWesty sells. In the end I spray painted them with the Krylon for a better color match.
If/when I have it to do over I'll make them from scratch. |

A related question...
We have an 84/85/88-mix Westy with the blue/beige/brown interior. The front-seat bases and the insides of the front doors are brown vinyl.
I had a damaged sliding door panel, and due to a cargo-related accident, now have a trashed back hatch panel. So I want to replace them both.
I have some strong, thin, birch-veneer plywood to use for replicating the bases. I'm not sure that I want to cover them with the GoWesty "wallpaper" that supposedly replicates the original stuff.
Does anyone have experience with Sewfine's "Matching Vanagon Vinyl" #E6611 Vanagon Brown and if so, is it a reasonable match for the OEM brown vinyl on the doors and seat bases? It doesn't have to be perfect, but I'd like it to look reasonably similar. ($40/yard for 54" vinyl, reasonable grade, is not a bad price.)
Thanks!
