Based on the sand cars they've built, I agree. I'm sure they would have fabbed some kinda cool billet pieces or at least powdercoated steal. Maybe they just handled the motor install. Is this a project you'd be interested in cleaning up?

I would leave the rad up front, your just not going to get enough airflow in back, the fan is only for when your not moving.

sweet "project"!! if you could post any pics of the whole set up, maybe how the hoses were run from the radiator to the engine, it would be nice to compare what others did and what not to do on my conversion. Cool

I can guarantee you that Outfront didn't mount the radiator. But it shouldn't be hard to improve upon

No "give away" front radiator and if you have a shortened sump, no give away 'hang down'. could be very stealth!

No, you make a good point. I'm going to look at it and see if the radiator and fans will fit. Definitely wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

if you run puller fans, how is that different than running a fan in a front engine car in traffic? just a thought...

That's a thought. But if I was caught in traffic, I'd worry about the exhaust heat rising up to the radiator. Even though I don't like the plumbing running under both sides of the car, I believe those long metal pipes help dissipate a lot of the heat

Nothing is sealed. That's another thing I'll have to remedy. I think i can improve the airflow through the radiator too.

The car was done quite some time ago. I first looked at this car around 2 years ago, when it was running great. The wiring and mounting of the stinger is messy as a result of PO taking it out to have it tested, and never putting everything back right. There definitely needs to be some better mounting hardware for the radiator. Also, let me say that I don't know how much of this was done by Outfront Motorworks, and how much was done by the PO. He simply said they did the swap. I think it's obvious that a lot of this stuff was not done by a professional.

I have a feeling the person he bought it off was trying to save money, and do most of the work himself. That is why he didn't take it back, probably to embarrassed Embarassed

Really cool project.

Whomever did the conversion looks from the photos like a hurried, rush job with very little attention to details. I would think twice about sending it back to them. . . Rolling Eyes

I would start from scratch with a wiring harness and di it right. It sounds like all the issues are wiring related. I wouldn't trust what the last guys did since it looks so sketchy.

I can't tell by the photos, but does it have a way for the radiator to exhaust the hot air??

Very cool project indeed!!
