Has anyone done a good job of mounting an external propane tank on the back of a syncro and run lines forward to stoves etc? |

Hello, Not sure where Kirkland is, but in North America it is unlikely you could have a propane tank installed in an exposed impact location. So you may not get many replies. If you search, there are a couple threads where members have made adapters for connecting 30 pound propane tanks, but more for when you are camping, not going down the road. They would be stored when under way. Is this a tin top or camper? If it is a camper, what about something in the luggage rack area? Either way, this will bump your theard. Post pictures or it never happened. Search Extend and Stay and Propane in the Vanagon section. This will bump your thread. _________________ ☮️ |

Yup. Not allowed to have exposed tanks. I'm actually heading out to a RV suppy store today to pickup an Extend-a-Stay adapter. If Kirkland is WA (I'm in Seattle), look for Camping World. I'm heading to Evergreen RV in Shoreline. _________________ == My Rides ==

Is this the how you turn your Vanagon into a Pinto thread? _________________ "Use the SEARCH, Luke" But first visit the Vanagon FAQ!

Somewhere out there in Search-Land is a thread to pics of a 20lb tank, mounted on, I think a Gary Lee Hatch rack with hoses to feed the stove and fridge. Yeah, it looked like a bad idea
Searched. Can't find it. Don't do it. |
