Here are a few shots of how I reworked the ends of my run'n boards on my COW-LOOK car I'm building. First I made four alum patterns, one for each end. Then cut and welded new material and then reworked each end. These shots are without the 1/8 rubber pads and bolted tight

After some thought and interest, I am going to have a two day seminar in may sometime. I will be show'n how to make small patch panels and fabrication. layout and pattern makeing. Tig welding and theory. Hand tools and machinery. Bodywork basic's and metal finishing. I am pretty open what we can do in the class. My shop is northern nevada, About 35 minutes from reno. If every thing goes well, Maybe down the road we can have beginer and advanced class's. The class will be 300.00 and a 50.00 dollar deposit to hold your spot. I would like to have 10-15 people class's. You will need to bring ear plugs and eye protection. Maybe a chair, There will be lots of theory drawn on the board. Let me know if interested and thanks for the interest!! My shop # 775 246-3069 I will have lunch and drinks for students

Wow! I'm in the middle of rebuilding my car and you have just inspired me to kick it into gear. Really like the dash mods but I just got your radio fix panel so I guess I'll stick to the delete plate look. I tried my hand at welding the replacement panels but realized it looks way easier then actually doing the welding. Luckily I have a friend that is a welder/fader and he has offered to take on my project. Really wish I lived in your area so I could attend the seminar. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. Just be patient, This stuff takes time. Hell if I can learn it, Anybody can. See if anybody offers heli arc welding in your area, That would be a great place to get some seat time in. Again thanks

Fill'n some holes. First I measure holes and punch some slugs from a hunk of 20 guage. Here are the two tools I use, My rotex and hand held whitney punch. After I take a hand held taper'd reamer and open holes to where I can tap slugs into holes and tack with my tig welder. Then grind and hammer/dolly. Then I ran a very fine tooth vixon file over area to find my high/lows. Then metalfinshed

Nice Rotex, even painted it blue. Very Neat Thread. There used to be a shop in Charlotte NC in the late 70's called the "911 Shop". It was like a carbon copy of your shop layout. They had every kind of single run machine placed all over. Nothing but white glove 356 and porsche race cars sitting around. And like your shop, everything looked like it was ready for First Place at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance . Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
