Hello all. After a lengthy search, I've found my Tintop! Just drove her back to Colorado from Albuquerque. Aside from the oil leaking from the pushrod tubes, bump started one time and the sudden loud exhaust 6 miles from home, she got me home safely! She's very dry, mostly surface rust and the original interior is in good shape...with a few exceptions. I've tried the usual sources (WW, Bustoration, Bus Depot) and I can't find the olive green door panels. Is my best bet waiting for a set on classifieds or does anyone know of any other sources? Also, the plaid is in great shape, but the vinyl on the headrest and the seat surrounds has some shrinkage and splits. Is just the vinyl available? I'm not willing to replace w/new as to me, that takes away from her coolness. Also, she has the jalousie windows and one has the crank, the other doesn't and was flapping the entire trip...annoying. Any suggestions on a replacement crank? Any suggestions would be appreciated! (I'm sure there will be many more!) I uploaded pics in the gallery |

Bus Depot said they would have the correct green panels by this summer. You may want to give them a call directly if you don't see it on their web site. TMI also lists green panels in their offerings. _________________ 73 Tin Top Westy ( should have never sold her)

Thank you all for your replies. The window crank is not plastic, its this little metal crank...I think I found one in classifieds. Yay! I'm excited about the green door panels, Olddog, I shall definitely give Bus Depot a call. [/img] |
