Now I know this is not for any Type 3 purist but is has got to be a blast to cruise. It just popped up on Craigslist forsale. here is the add description & pics. Asking price is $26,000.
Other than the wort on the hood, bumpers, & price I would rock it. Maybe I would add A/C.
Listing for a friend. For details call Greg at 805 466 14six nine. Car has 3,300 miles since build. 79 corvette 350 engine, 200r4 trans. S10 rear end, mustang II front engine with disc brakes. Custom frame. New paint, interior, weather strips and rubber. New tires. Fun and reliable.

I'd loose the hood tumor and make it a functional scoop. Other than that, I'd roll that as is _________________ Regards,

Agreed, loose the tumor (couldn't find some sort of cold air kit?), and add a set of Torque Thrust D's on it. I'd roll that in a heartbeat. I'd love to put a Tremec 5 or 6 speed trans in it too. But, that's just me. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

On the hood tumor, I was thinking like a Shaker kit. That way you can watch it moving around & really confuse the Hot Rod guys.
Torque thrusts would look good. _________________ Home of the one true split Bus Motorhome |

I did not know you knew about these kinds of transmissions....lol
those are not in air cooled VW's
I have a tremec tko in my 93 mustang notchback(coupe ,trunk what ever you want to call them). I have had my mustang since 1993 with 26 miles on it and it was brand new. My mustang is my next project car! _________________ this is my porject link:

TKO 600? yes please!
Although I would love a geforce build T5, strong as TKO but shifts much nicer especially at high rpm. |

That was my "hot rodder" side coming out. I wasn't always a VW guy, and I'm still not. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
