With the anticipation of Snow and Rain, I have started using the windshield wipers. When they are working should there be a noise?
They make a thud sound as they go back and forth? Perhaps the shift of the arm back and forth is making the motor shift. Are there grease points to on these parts and how accessiable is the motor? I have read the bently on removal, I have a 78 Westy with the air conditioner mounted under the dash.

Could be-
Loose motor
Loose wiper pivots
Maybe it's (moving arms) just hitting something.
