Just as my 1953 deluxe.
Both of your seats have the rails and the levers for moving them back and forth. Thatīs a deluxe feature.
The standard seats have clamps and wingnuts that hold them down.
Iīm not much of a seats expert. But to me both are not split seats.

The one on the left with the adjustable back rest (big rotating knob where the upper frame stops) is '56 and later. The 3 position adjustable backs came out in '56.

the one on the right is at least a mid-55 and earlier as it looks to have no backrest adjuster, although the height of the backrest seems shorter than normal. maybe a bus?

It looks like the backs were swapped between those two seats.

I don't think they're swapped... I would expect coils on the back (as they are on the seat bottom) instead of the wavy "U" pattern type shown on either back piece.

Even back in 1946 the back rests of front seats were sprung in the wavy "U" pattern.

I meant the frames. The first seat back is curved like a Split, but has the the later bottom on it. The second seat has back is the later style on an early seat bottom.
