Just as my 1953 deluxe.
Both of your seats have the rails and the levers for moving them back and forth. Thatīs a deluxe feature.
The standard seats have clamps and wingnuts that hold them down.
Iīm not much of a seats expert. But to me both are not split seats. _________________ Master of my domain! |

The one on the left with the adjustable back rest (big rotating knob where the upper frame stops) is '56 and later. The 3 position adjustable backs came out in '56. _________________ John Henry

the one on the right is at least a mid-55 and earlier as it looks to have no backrest adjuster, although the height of the backrest seems shorter than normal. maybe a bus? |

It looks like the backs were swapped between those two seats. _________________ It all works on paper.

I don't think they're swapped... I would expect coils on the back (as they are on the seat bottom) instead of the wavy "U" pattern type shown on either back piece. |

Even back in 1946 the back rests of front seats were sprung in the wavy "U" pattern. _________________ Rod,

I meant the frames. The first seat back is curved like a Split, but has the the later bottom on it. The second seat has back is the later style on an early seat bottom. _________________ It all works on paper.
