You wanna start a velvet green commercial club? I got the moth balls out of the single cab, and started driving it to work last week. Cool Truck! PA Trucks Unite!

I finally found some time to start working on the doublecab. not much progress, but I'm working on it every night. My goal is to have it ready for Litchfield next month.

I added a set of hoops and started scrapping the over spray, it's slow work, but I'm finding good paint under the dark green and white over spray, with no primer in between.

I got the hoops already welded and powdered coated and the set of bows and a set of bed slats untreated from Ken Hippensteel, I stained them and cleared coated them myself and I'm very please with the quality of his work and end result

Needless to say, I'm on the hunt for original velvet green parts. the less I have to scrape the sooner I finish.

I went back to work on the paint removal tonight, when people tell you how tedious of a process this is, I don't think one realizes how slow it really is. So far I've put about 5 hours on this panel.

I picked this citistrip from home depot not knowing if it would do the trick, so far it is, I like it bc it's not that strong and it only brake a thin layer of paint at a time, so obviously I have to apply 3 to 5 times depending in the area, so far I've gotten the hang of it to the point that I know what application is going to reveal the OG paint, so I apply a little bit heavier at first and work my way down as the paint comes off. Once I get to the final application I only work in small areas no bigger than 3"X3"

I feel for you...it's looking good. Keep at it. I'm doing my SC right now. Makes it easier for me to deal with if I skip around to different parts of it rather than staying on the same panel for too long.

Thanks dude. That's what I've been doing. I started with the nose. Did part of it, moved to that panel, now I'm done with the panel, I'm back on the nose. But I'm gonna stay on the nose until I'm done with it, only because it's the most visible part of the truck and I don't want it to look like shit with three different colors up front.

It's a labor of love for sure...there's something about seeing that OG paint revealed that keeps us going. For me, it's not that I get tired of doing it...there's just not enough hours in the day...all in all, it seems to make it more worth all the effort.
