I am adding the city water hookup to my 1978 Westy that originally came with a sink only cabinet. I swapped out the kitchen cabinet a couple of years ago to one with a stove sink combo. I never bothered with the city water as I don't think I would ever use it. Now that I am considering a repaint, it would be a good time to cut the hole and add it for the complete deluxe camper look.

I was wondering what the exact distance between the sink vent and the city water hook up is.

Thanks for the help.

I've got this all apart and open right now and would be happy to provide these dimensions and anything else associated tomorrow.

Ok, here ya go, as measured from an original 76 Deluxe Westy:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

The top (vent) hole is 53 mm. dia. The bottom (city water) hole is 70 mm. dia. The cutouts are 92 mm. apart from edge to edge, or 153.5 mm. center-to-center.

Just let me know if you need anything else.

I appreciate that you came back to update the thread 8 years later! Very Happy

That's actually not sarcastic, I think it's cool and impressive that you thought to do it.

And I hope the paint job comes out great!

I came back to this thread yesterday morning. I was about to take it in and realized I hadn't drilled the city water opening yet. I remembered asking in this thread about the measurements and looked it up. Imagine my chagrin when I saw that I asked this question over 8 years ago, LOL.

I had to run to Home Depot for a 2.75" hole saw. Cut the hole and then took it in.

The camper water inlet and the hose to the faucet are different threading. I am looking for an OG adaptor to hook up the hose to the inlet if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Sorry brother. I gave away my extra cabinet with the sink and plumbing a few months ago to a local. I’ll keep my eyes out for you.
