If you know of any other ....

French Prime Minister Jean Marc Ayrault owns (drives?) a Vanagon that he values at 1000 Euros on his tax sheet.

Way to go Frenchies

I ran into the former mayor and police chief of Portland one day as he was getting out of his 91 Syncro Westfalia. I started talking to him about it because it was in such nice condition. He said he's owned it since it was new. It figures that was the vehicle he chose being from Portland.

The former mayor of Olympia also drives a Vanagon which he's owned for a long time--possibly since new.

Haven't found any informations about the trans or engine, but if you know the french people you can bet that this Joker is powered by a diesel engine for sure Sad
