Looking for help removing the V-shaped metal brace for the rear of an OEM single DIN radio. How is it attached to the underside of the dash?

Well, not much help there for a later-model dash. Think I will try to view the underside using a mechanic’s mirror.

On my '85 and my '90 I bent it repeatedly to fatigue and removed it. Crude but effective. If you want to do this cleanly it may be a good opportunity to remove the dash and do the under-the-dash projects (still on my to-do list).

Thanks. This is how I removed it. Dash removal is a bit too daunting unless other repairs under there become necessary.
