Is it ok to power wash ( gerni) the engine bay area both from above and below? Would the spark plug recesses get fullif water? Any tips before I do it?

NO NO NO!!!!!
you will one ruin the hardboard sound dampening up top... And adding high pressure on the 40 year old electric wires probably will shredd things.. please just get a bucket and some soap and water and go at the engine bay will patience. Dont soak things... Damp rag wipe...
Now the under side of the engine you can hit with the pressure washer.. just make sure your engine some what cool.. i only say this as i worry with hot engine and cold water that cold create a problem in itself.
A good copper brush and degreaser would be best bet.. More control 2800 psi from a pressure washer can shredd fuel line.. _________________ Special Thanks to:
