Top view passenger side hood tit bracketry. The 1/8" rod lines up with the hood seal channel on left and the outer plate on the right. Wont be using cheese heads during real flights. Making kinda a special screw and spacer but no big deal. After welding up, the latches are next.

Wow Shocked Shocked ...such fine metal skills you have...most VW rat rods don't bother with pan gaskets and hood seals. ..but I see you want this badass rat rod look with some modern comforts. ..it saddened me to see you cover up the oval dash with a fiberglass 40's style Rolling Eyes ...not really sure why d'oh! ...everything about this build is top quality metal fab skills and then a fiberglass dash cover Laughing Laughing

Great work man Applause Applause

VeeWeeman Cool

OK here are the hood teets. Those rounded things on the ends are called nipplets. But I think we're gonna start calling these dobbers.

Anybody got big enough minerals to cut a hole in a perfect hood in an area that is sure to fold when opened?

We're taking small steps. Micro updates. Work a few minutes, then sit and drink coffee and draw and meditate the rest of the day.
