Automatic bus with carbs

Sup dudes? I got my carbs on and installed the next question is how to link the throttle to the crossbar on the carbs. I tried using a fabricated metal piece to attach the too but when the gas is pushed the throttles dont retract. How has anyone else set up there conversion from FI to carbs? Any help would be appriciated.
