Replacing the speedo in our 70 vert as well as the bezel ring...I thought that the wider side goes to the bottom, but looks like it goes to the top? The speedo and bezel that were in there from the PO were incorrect year, and the bezel was bent and glued in with incorrect spacing.... so I have nothing to go by...any help much appreciated! Thanks, Bob

There shouldn't be a "wider side." The ring/bezel for a '70 should be equal all the way around.

Wider part goes to top, thinner part goes on bottom.
