Those halo lights are the ones I just installed in my buggy (2 per side) and im very happy with them albeit they do look a little "industrial".I also just added a third brake light since these cars are very low and I don't want some SUV ,texting idiot to not see me braking.

I'm gonna have to call bull shit on that one Shocked I just looked at your pics and I'm thinking the SUV is gonna lose Cool Are you building that for an offroad circuit or do you just really enjoy your work?

NICE WORK! When I win the lottery I'm going to ask that you build a buggy/tank for me.

Got any pics of the 3rd brake light?

If you were Joecoolcustoms I'd say you were slacking to be only that far along in 10 months, but since I assume you are a mere mortal like most on this forum, I'll say instead that I am impressed how far you moved the line of scrimmage on your build! Well done. Look forward to seeing it completed.

I had a different path on my build, but you've done in less than a year what took me more than two!

Thanks guys, it's a OEM 2013 Mazda Spirited Green (36A). I found it in the factory DuPont color book. Can't lie, I was a little nervous about the scoop but I had a friend do the massaging on it. I could not be happier. Laughing

Wiring is about 95% complete, just have to connect the headlights and then assemble the hood. I have to mount the windshield, wipers and speakers. Then actually completely mount everything to the pan and the hood to body.

It could be FINISHED this weekend! Shocked

Could LOL

Ummm.... I think you will find its not ever finished... It just comes to a point where you stop working on it feverishly and start driving it....

Getting closer, still need to:

Figure out why the alternator LED indicator light isnt going out (probably because its LED Rolling Eyes I'm about over LED's honestly, just an absolute PIA!)
Tune the motor which instantly fires up nicely, just stumbles when given old gas. Getting new fresh gas today.
Secure the hood
Blackout the bottom
Aim headlights
Maybe mount the front bumper....maybe Confused

I went to the parts store and got a $4.29 clearance light and wired it in to the coil. Problem solved and my dash indicator still works as intended.

You have to wire in a resistor and diode to use LED inicator on the charge circuit, mine works perfect. Search for the how to.

What size tires are those? Looks good.

That does look pretty impressive, but my ultra-low tech simple way works as well and I understand how/why it works. My LED indicator still displays correctly.

On a side note, I REALLY believe there is a market here for a prefab simple solution for the non-electrical engineered folk roaming the world like myself. Not a bag of parts, but something like in the picture that is shrink-wrapped and ready to connect. Something turnkey with 2 wires sticking out the bottom that says + and -. Something that I don’t have to think too hard and learn how to read electronic schematics to understand.
Can I install a motherboard? Sure. Can I build a motherboard? NOPE. You might as well be telling me to just build a harness for 1.22 million Gigawatts and wire in the flux capacitor. You guys are much more technically savvy when it comes to things like this. Take the red wire and connect it to green wire I get, put a relay in there and I’m lacing up my sneakers. I can totally understand why people only get halfway through these things.

Here is the diagram I used:
