The dumbest thing I've done in a while.

For the life of me, I couldn't find out why my bus was overheating. I'd seal another part of the engine, or make it run a bit richer, and every time I'd stop after a test drive, I'd go check the dipstick, and it would be hot as hellfire.

Turns out I had removed the heater without plugging the heater box holes.

Some people put a type 1 in a late bay window and wonder why it gets hot and blows up without any tin around it at all. Or another combination I would sometimes see is a type 3 pancake engine in a bus. No tin around the miss match. Actually they did pretty well.
