I know nearly no users of this particular forum ever look at the buyer/seller feedback one (I actually think most users here think TS consists only of this forum and the classifieds!).
Anyway being a vendor I review it occasionally and I discovered this on Terry Kay's f/b thread:
Quote: |
For anyone who has orders pending with Terry, I spoke with him by phone last Friday (5/17) and he is presently suffering from major lung problems associated with long-term fiberglas inhalation. He is on Ox, full-time and hardly has the energy to talk to his customers on the phone. He said he was very concerned that he hasn't been able to process his orders and knows customers are wondering whats-up, why haven't they gotten their stuff.
As health comes first, recovery should be his first priority. Please send Terry your good vibes for a quick and full recovery.
I've been communicating with him on a big order and have received the items he hand-made, which are fine pieces of work to re-fit the original junk that VW put on the Vanagons. Customers be patient; give him some time to R & R." |
Everyone please send some good juju Terry's way. _________________ Shop for unique Vanagon accessories at the Vanistan shop:

Thanks for posting this, Chris. I will certainly keep a good thought for TK. I know he has ruffled a lot of feathers here, but he's a human being just like all of us and definitely deserves our best wishes.

A couple of guys I've worked with over the years had problems like TK might be having. Symptoms like bronchitis would give. They both came through it ok. One was in his 50s and one nearing 70.
Hope you get better soon TK. _________________ 1984 Vanagon Westfalia 1.9 wbx

I have no idea who I've purchased from anymore......like the Grateful Dead saying, 'it all fades into a dream,' but I do want to wish TK a speedy recovery. Not only does he have knowledge to share, but he can be very entertaining too!

I've purchased from Terry, and been informed, entertained and sometimes apalled by his post. Hmm, sounds like I'm describing a friend. Get better soon Terry. _________________ Tim Potts
