|
|
The ("Bowden") cable for the sliding door has come unattached at the front mechanism and for some reason, I can't reattach it. It appears to be about a fraction of a CM too short to fit on the knob where it is supposed to attach and is held in place by the circlip. I have been playing with the adjusting nut, etc. but no dice with that.
Does anyone have any ideas. I am perplexed. _________________ 1984 Vanagon GL

I figured it out. Door was closed, so had to tug on cable to open it and that created the necessary slack to reattach it.
Now, need to find a circlip to hold it on. _________________ 1984 Vanagon GL

Any idea where to get a replacement cable? Mine broke today. _________________ --

Apparently Cory Hatton from www.cccables.com has created a new cable. Part number: VW21114-36.
That said, I haven't purchased one from them. |
