Hi all in the Calgary area. It's just about time to have another meet up. Is there any interest? I was thinking we could meet in Bowness again at Angels drive-in, grab a bite of food and if the weather is nice we could head down to the bowness lagoon and eat there. I'm hoping to have my van up and running again (fingers crossed) and it would be great to see everyone else's rides. I was thinking we could meet up Saturday June 15th at 6ish?
Respond here so we can gauge interest.

Great to hear! Looking forward to a nice get together and to seeing all of the vans. I'm really close to Angels as well.

Another camping planned. Will be at Tunnel Mtn for the Banff Bike fest.
Otherwise i would have been there! Want to meet the Calgary Westies!

Hi all!
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster...
Allow me to introduce myself. In 1998 I moved to Calgary with everything I owned jammed into my new (to me) 88 dove blue Westy.
Here is a picture from those days.

Fast forward to now, my van "Vanny" (unorigional I know, but named by my two year old daughter, so it stuck) is almost done a major rebuild. She was in great shape mechanically but it was time to address some body issues caused by a repair done when she was almost new.
Here's a pic as she was rolled out of Continental European autobody last month.

Right now she's getting some new big brakes etc installed.
Anyways, I can't wait to meet you all but right now I'm overseas at work and I won't be back in time for this meetup... Next time I hope.
At least we have The Samba to keep in touch!

Vanny looks really good with the new paint job. Hope you can get out to the next meet ... Maybe in July sometime.
Since it is camping season maybe we could get together during the week in July rather then on the weekend when everyone is out driving around.
