I am currently serving as the Executive Officer in America's Ship of State, USS CONSTITUTION. I normally ride the T to work but will drive in if the weather is good and I know I'll get out before or after rush hour.

Nice pic! How did you get the position? I took a sailing course this past spring (lake) and would like to eventually sail on some blue water.. |

I'm a Surface Warfare Officer (my designator is 1110). Our pipeline is two tours in ships as a Division Officer (ENS and LTjg/LT), a shore duty tour (I was an instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers School in Newport, RI), two tours in ships as a Department Head, some more shore tours (I am post-DH now; it's shore duty but I get sea time but no sea pay as we do not deploy), and eventually tours in ships or other commands as the Executive Officer and, finally, a tour as the Commanding Officer.

My bio is on the site, under "Captain & Crew."

I made the YT videos last week from a Mass ANG UH-60A+ Blackhawk. We flew from Hanscom AFB, along the Mass Pike, then over the Charles River and over the ship. |

The Constitution is a beautiful ship. Have visited it many times. I'm a retired Vermont teacher and always took my class to Boston's Freedom Trail
and the Constitution. It's an amazing piece of history. You have a nice duty. Good luck! _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

The last time I saw Old Ironsides she was being refurbished ... maybe 2 or 3 years ago. All the masts and booms were laid out in the lot next to her. Amazing. I will be back in Boston in a week. I should come out for a tour now that she is finished. _________________ Brian

Ahh, so jealous! I got laughed at at when I told my last command I wanted to go to the Constitution. Stupid Nukes Need Not Apply. Hopefully next spring I can get the time off to come out to Boston. I really want to see the Constitution, the Diggit in me would be so upset if I missed the chance. |

Q-Dog,
PM me if/when you're up here.
For now, we're closed due to the shut-down.

Went to the VW show at the Larz Anderson Museum on Sunday. They had 189 V-Dubs show up. Great time!

nice bug, but the first couple pictures, the way you parked it in front of the boat is super distracting. Next time try moving the bug off to the sides where the blue sky is, that way you can have the two subjects side by side for a better pic.
I totally want a convertible fat chick. |

Good evening sir,
Small world..I just graduated from RTC a couple of weeks ago and one of my shipmates from my division got orders to the uss constitution. It's cool knowing there's officers that are into air cooled vws. See you in the fleet sir I am currently still in great lakes at QM a school.
