Any interest in a Central Mass. GTG?
Date: June 29th
Location: Shrewsbury MA.
We could meet at a restaurant late Sat. afternoon and then there is camping afterwards.
(Free camping - donation for Porta-Potty)
Or.. dispense with the restaurant idea and simply meet for BBQ and hanging around the fire at the camp spot. You can stay put for camping afterwards for those who want to stay the night. We'll have a toast to Mr and Mrs. RubberChicken at their send-off spot.
Breakfast Sun (30th) @ Dean Park Pizza, always a possibility.
I'll update with directions if there is enough interest.

I am trying to make the Litchfield event with Blair and Andrew.
The Bostig Syncro I am working on currently won't be ready to show, unfortunately.
Looking forward to riding in the reversed 1.8T van |

Hey, I'm down for this. I went all the way up to the Vermont meet so I think I could handle an hour away
Let's see if anyone else is in. I'd be coming from the Northampton area. I know Mass has more than the two of us

I would like to I might be able to show up in the Subaru I started pulling apart the front end and haven't finished getting it apart to reassemble it with Powerflex Bushings but so much life has prevented me from working on it over the last few weeks. I will be at Litchfield selling some parts though. Definitely want to see the reversed 1.8T and if I don't go to the Shrewsbury meet will hopefully at least be working on the Vanagon. _________________ 1985 2wd Westy with 2000 Subaru 2.2 current driver

I like the idea of these New England GTG, and would like to attend one or more. Maybe caravan down with Brian.
But, I won't make that one. I will be in Cape Breton, also eating lobster.
Here...

Here's the link the SkiWard facility directly across the street from where we will be camping.
Reasonably priced food, regulation volleyball court. Summer (dry) tubing and also summer skiing and snowboarding (don't ask me to explain those - visit the website). _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

Guess the poll should have had, "No, I'll be somewhere else eating lobster" _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

Another time I would just bring the quick connect lobster cooker, attach it to the Westy propane tank and then no one will have any reason not to come (lobster related anyway).
Maybe do a crawfish boil? Everyone likes mudbugs. Clam bake?
I'll be in Albany eating Bulgogi and kimchi that day with the Korean relatives.

Isn't there a clam bake in some random van at every gathering...
There was a great place in Jamaica VT...Imagica...they served crawfish on brown paper.
I really miss them and that spot Chef.
I would be down to boil some crusties if we can ever have the time.
Westies at Watkins is what I am focusing on at this point.
I should have a sweet whip to drive by that point.
Why do I take these vans apart
They dont drive well in pieces , but I still grab a nap now and again in them on the hoist. |

Update and directions
OK - Talked to Dale he has some people contact him - so it is a go.
We will behind the white house (go around on the left hand side) directly across from SkiWard.
If it is raining, we can go to the restaurant across the street at the ski place.
If anyone wants more info, or a cell number- pm me.
I'll bring some wood for the fire.
I'll get there around 5:00pm. Dale will be there somewhat earlier. _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"
