I have a Borla Stainless Steel muffer that I am going to use on my Beetle. Will I need to have a ceramic coating applied to it? I'm not sure if it is necessary on Stainless Steel or not.

Thanks in advance-

Not necessary in my opinion. I like the look of stainless, after it's burned in.

Why bother... it's not going to rust.

I thought that it could possibly still rust due to such hot temps.

Thanks for the replies/good news!

It wont rust at all but it turns a really cool goldish blue color where it "burns in" like unclebob said.
