I think Matt Cuddy and Mic have the racing experience to make the kids races a fair and better event. All in favor of asking them to be in charge of the Valve Cover Races?

I'll buy the beer Saturday night:)

1) possibility of camping on Fri. night?

3) free beer for prior year Dub Push winners, aye - 2nd the motion

4) free beer for matt cuddy, regardless of prior year's Dub Push status

I will have to monitor #4 as we can't have Cuddy getting too sloshed before the dub push.

That's a great idea Matt.

Camping on the show field? Do you mean for vendors only? Because if that also means show cars that's going to be difficult to clear in time for the show on Sunday morning. Groggy campers and all, you know. It was hard enough getting the overflow campsite cleared last year to make way for spectator parking.

I'm sure he means vendors camping in the perimeter spots they will be vending from...

Casey and I will be again doing the camping thing this year.

As to camping on the show field, not allowed. The only vehicles overnight on the show field will be a limited number of major vendors with big rigs.

The show field is a used for soccer, and having campers tromping on the grass for extended periods kills the grass. We have to respect our host's wishes at the sports club.

Also, due to limited spectator parking space, campers in the left side parking lot (as you enter the club) will again have to clear out their campsites by 8:00am.

New this year, we are strongly encouraging aircooled campers to pack up and enter the show in the morning on Sunday from both the left and right side camping areas. There is very limited spectator parking space, and we need to clear out as many campers as possible to make space for parking.

If your bus, tent, or camping vehicle is blocking access to either side in the morning, you will be asked to move it. The left side, as in past years, will have to clear out by 8:00am, the right side will be given more leeway, but you need to prepare to clear out by 10:30am as parking is filling up.

Anyone can camp Saturday night. Lots of people tent camp out of anything Aircooled and even some regular daily cars.

The swim club has strict rules about cars on the field. This field is used three seasons for kids sports. They normally never allow cars to drive on the grass (especially leaky VW's).
We like to keep them happy and only drive the cars on the field during Sunday show hours.

Jeffrey might chime in on this.

Just checking...

The Blue Bay Express is returning this year as my son wants to run him again.

I'm in the middle of working on the Pink Patina Machina for my daughter this week. Over the last couple of weeks I've accelerated the rusting process using salt and good ole mother nature. Quite possibly the ugliest valve cover racer ever. I might clear it to preserve its ugliness.

Matt Cuddy's responsibilities are to the South Philly Van Club entirely, he's already committed 100% of his time that weekend to defend our dub push title, sorry if I'm being abrupt, but as head coach and proud member of said organization, I need to police my own.

I only have the ability to hold a sammich for 30 seconds or less before it gets eaten. Its all part of the rigorous training program Manny has me on.
