Any Sambanistas affected by the widespread flooding in Alberta? I have seen some photos of Calgary, and the Saddledome area flooded. Hope all are OK. Please keep us posted.

I don't mean to make light of the disaster in Alberta, but the title "Alberta Floods!" would make a great name for a female singer. I think I was out in the sun too long today!

Calgary is Edmonton's little brother. Sure we might razz our little brothers here and there and give them an inferiorty complex, but no one wants their little brothers ruffed up.
Calgarians are a tough, resiliant bunch. The cool thing is people were selflessly giving up their homes to strangers.

I've been to the Saddledome twice. Once for a hockey game where we sat in row 15. Hard to imagine that we would have been only a few feet from the water line. Wow.
I hope the evacuations were successful, and folks are safe.

He's a pretty cool dude that's for sure. He basically used Facebook/and 'new' media to power through and win.
