Are you going to leave yours like they are?

Wow I really love the simple uncluttered interior of your bus!! My rear bumper is in the process of being stripped for repainting. It is white rt now. After seeing your pics I am leaning towards painting it the Neptune blue like the bus. Love your bus man!! looks awesome!! Razz

Thanks! I photoshopped some white bumpers on my bus a while back, and I really liked the look. But the consistent color makes my bus unique, so I'll hold off for a few more years. Having limited funds helps too……

If I can get a color match I will paint my rear bumper blue, If I don't like it I can always change it back..

This weekend was the time to make a temporary repair to my rusty front floors. Now lets all play nicely!!! I am a function over form guy and I am building this bus for camping adventures. One day, prolly in the winter, I will have new floors and two new dog legs put in but for now here are some pictures of the process that I used to keep it running for the summer. The first picture shows the PO's previous temp repair.

The first thing that I did was to pop out all the old fiberglass that the PO had installed. Then using a variety of tools cleaned all the rust out, cleaned the area with acetone then painted with poor mans por-15.

Because the passenger side was wasted on two sides I decided to add a little strength. I used some 1/8" aluminium plate and some rivets before laying down some 6 lb cloth then followed with 12 lb cloth multiple layers of each. I used west marines 105 resin for all the repairs. I have had real good success with adhesion with the west marine's products all be it a little spendy.
