every time I fill up, the fuel gauge only reads about 90% full

if I drop the tank for emissions hoses, does this mean I should replace the sender on the tank also?

or is it normal for a Vanagon?

Mine stops at 1/4 tank. Was interesting the first time I realized that the hard way. Embarassed

If I drop tank for any reason, I am replacing the sender. Just because I am there and I would seriously kick my own ass if I did not.

I resealed the tank and replaced EVERY hose from front to back. But the sender was working fine, so why mess with it? Two months later, it goes from full (at fill-up time) to out-of-sight-empty 25 miles later. Lesson learned.
