Have an 86 Westy and a 75 Westy. Traveled on vacation in both and both are comfy. Vanagon drives as more modern van. The Bay just gives me a smile that doesn't go away.

Oh- I guess our old Bus was a '72.....but the Vanagons aren't soul-less, just may seem so to Bus owners.

like I said b4 had a lot of fun in my 68,but luv the power steering,heat auto trans. and power compared to the 68.it's all up to what u and your wife suits your needs.both are a lot of fun to own and will bring great memories you'll always have.even in the vanagon westy you'll have somebody
(once a day) come up and talk to you.where ever you go.
