How does one determine what style lug nut to use on a set of rims?

I have some American Racing Gotti style rims going on the Deserter. They did not come with the lug nuts. How do I know which style they use?

There are three basic styles of lugnut, cone (60 degree), ball or shank (with a flat washer.

There's a bunch of articles on line about the differences.

OK...looks like ball (I think). I will check tonight.

Now off to get 10 Chevy and 10 Ford lug nuts. Should be slightly more expensive than a full set.

Especially since most places now sell them by fours in blister packs.

Looks like I was wrong. They appear to be the shank style.

My local Pep Boys sells lug nuts individually so thats good...other than they are expensive.

I found a seller on eBay that sold mixed sets. Don't remember who it was though. I needed a set of 1/2" for one end of my car and 7/16" for the other because nobody sold studs in matching sizes for the brakes I was using. Price wasn't bad either.
